Why I Built This

I needed a brief the night I could not afford one.

I was arrested on gun charges in California. A private firm wanted a retainer I did not have. I got a public defender.

I still showed up with the Constitution. I pulled the work FPC, SAF, GOA, and CRPA had already written and I used it. The charges were dropped.

That gap — a defender who wants to fight and does not have a bank of arguments ready — is why this exists.

What you are funding

Guns of Liberty and Defense Brief are the same fight and the same money.

The scholarship stays free. The motion bank stays pointed at public defenders who do not have ten thousand dollars and three weeks. Servers, research time, and the next brief. Not a lifestyle. Not a PAC.
